Kenny Wong was born in Hong Kong. He always loved drawing from an early age. But later he find there have no Art class in secondary school, than he developed a keen interest in scale modeling and handicraft through his hobby.
He working as a 'Paste up artist' and Toy's packaging illustrator during the early economy blooming of 80's. He went on to study design and illustration at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1988. In the same year, he found a new job as an Illustration / Visualizer in the NMD&D advertising agency and Brushstoke Studio, both companies were run by Hong Kong based British, major client were corporations and financial institutions like the Cathay Pacific Airline, Edward Keller Limited, Dragage, the Hong Kong Land,Diary Farm,Jardine's Group of companies, the Matheson PFC, Standard Chartered Bank, MIM Britannia, and etc. The job open a new door for him to become a professional illustrator. Keep forging ahead, in 1992, he graduated and have attained the Higher Certificate in Illustration.
From year 2000 to 2006, he started working in PC game company and involved in Multi Media, CD Rom design for educational products of different features ranged from 3D animation, Product Packages, Web Design, Game Graphic, figure and model kits.
Kenny founded his own company KEYPRODUCTION in 2008, working mainly in illustration and animation, unit now. In 2011, he invited by OKIA optical company to created a decorated mural painting for company booth in MIDO Eyewear Show help in Milan. OKIA sponsored Kenny and two other HK illustrators to Milan for this weekly project. He involves in animation because of the passion for movies and storytelling. 'Tin Toys Nostalgia' is a personal style he developed through years. The RTHK TV Programme Commissioning 《 Tin-Office / 鐵皮辦工室 》was the first 12 mins short animation film made by Kenny.
