Mattisy Tang / Part-time Illustrator & Illustration Student
Now Studying BA(Hons) Illustration and Animation at Kingston University London (2019-2021). Graduated Higher Diploma in Visual Communication (majored in illustration) in Hong Kong Design Institute (2016-2018) with Distinction (hons).
A Hongkongese illustrator. Having a strong passion on illustrating Gender Equality related issues fabulous costumes, fashions and historical stories. Awarded as silver prize (2nd Prize) in the 9th Hong Kong Ani-con Storybook competition Hong Kong, 2017 by the storybook "Bride's revenge". The story is reinterpreted the horror legend of Bride's Pool in Hong Kong Tai Po. Also illustrated the promotional poster for the German musical "whoin sollen wir gehen" ( "Where Should We Go") in 2020. Graphic Novels and storybooks are the targeted directions for personal creations. Aimed to repackage, recreate, reinterprete some things that is forgetten or ignored by modern society in own prespectives and understading, then translated the ideas by my illustrations.
